Hi, I’m Liam and I am the new Project Coordinator for Thurrock Young Carers. I have been working in social care for over 4 years. I attended the project myself and loved every activity I participated in. It feels great to be back with the service helping Young Carers. In my spare time I love watching musicals and being creative.

 

 

Hi I'm Mags, my own children benefitted from attending the project, so it feels great to be supporting young carers. In my spare time i enjoy going on holiday, watching shows and days out. 

Hi I’m Jo. I’ve been with Young Carers for nearly a year now. I enjoy all the activities but my favourite sessions are Arts & Crafts and also going to Adventure Island in Southend. I work full time for the probation service. In my spare time I love travelling, cooking and days out in London. 

Hi I'm Robert, I've been working with Young Carers for around two and a half years, I started just to help out during covid time,but I enjoy it much I'm still here. I particularly like doing the energetic sessions where the kids can try new things and test them selves...My main hobbies are cycling, and watching football, but I generally like most sports.

My name is Emma and I’ve been working with Young Carers for almost a year and I really enjoy it.It’s great to meet all the young people, to see laughter, smiles and chatter whilst they go about the various activities.I enjoy the arts and crafts activities, swimming, bowling I don’t think there has been one yet that I’ve not enjoyed.  
I also like music, dancing, the Theatre and seeing friends and having fun 🤩

 

Hi I'm Julie and I have worked with Young Carers for 4 years now, my hobbies are Baking/Cake decorating and drawing, my favourite activities are Baking, Stubbers and Arts and crafts.

 

Hi I’m Bev, I have been a part of the project since 2012. I feel very privileged to be part of such an amazing project. I have enjoyed all of the activities I have been on and what is great about them is that I get to meet various young carers of all ages and various backgrounds coming together and enjoying being themselves and having fun. It is wonderful how the project and the people who work at young carers makes a difference in these young peoples lives.
