Princes Trust - 2021 Opportunities

Please read the below carefully for details of new opportunities, courses and employment support for young people all with Princes Trust.

Get Started in Health and Social Care (18-30)

This 3-day virtual employability programme will help young people aged 18-30 explore the essential roles on offer and prepare them for work in the sector. Candidates will also join us in an online recruitment event, completing interviews with Health and Social Care employers in London who are hiring now!

Next Programme will be taking place in January – Date TBC.

If you know young people who are serious about getting into Heath and Social Care, please refer them to a welcome session (see below), and we may be able to set them up with a mentor to help them find work in the sector.

Welcome Session (16-30)

We are hosting weekly welcome sessions for young people who want to find out more information about The Prince’s Trust and our opportunities. These will be held through Microsoft Teams in a video conference format. Young people can watch the presentation and get involved as much as they want. Afterwards, a staff member will follow up 1:1 and progress them onto our programmes.

Get Started with Media with NBC Universal (18-25)

Get started with Media is a virtual course that will give you the chance to learn more about the world of media and give you an insight into NBC Universal! Young people who take part in this programme also have opportunity to apply for roles that are exclusively for Prince’s Trust Young people.

Our 12-week personal development programme, for the chance to gain new skills, take a qualification and meet new people.

Get Into Healthcare (Healthcare Assistant roles) (18-30)

Are you interested in a career in the NHS? Get Into Healthcare is a 3 week online training programme which will help you gain vital knowledge designed to set you above the competition when applying for Healthcare Assistant jobs. By the end, you will have completed 40 hours of the Care certificate and you will also get the opportunity to have an interview for a live vacancy in an London hospital!

Get Into Digital Marketing with WYK Digital (18-30)

The Prince’s Trust and WYK Digital are excited to present this new 10-week programme focusing on the digital marketing sector. This programme will expose all participants to training and working with real businesses, predominantly using Facebook and Google marketing tools. With support with dedicated expert trainers, industry mentors and skills coaching, young people will build up a huge range of skills both soft, technical, and also practical. Upon completion of the course, participants will be given the opportunity to apply for jobs with our partners and given support with the guaranteed interviews. Watch this video from our last programme in November

Explore (16-25)

Explore is a 5-week personal development programme which offers young people group activities and one-to-one support to help build confidence, get motivated, meet new people and identify and achieve their goals. We also develop employability and independent living skills. Personal development qualifications are available in Interpersonal & Self-management Skills, Participating in Exercise, Healthy Lifestyle, Career Planning, Money Management, and Presentation Skills.

Achieve (16-25)

The Achieve programme aims to create opportunities for young people by helping them to increase their confidence and develop the skills that they need to succeed in whatever they choose to do next.

Get Started with Creative Writing – for young black men  (16-25)
At Hood Mentality we, Young Black Men, strengthen links by speaking openly and expressing ourselves to build resilience. We’re focussed on the improvement of well-being through a range of inclusive projects, for young black men by young black men. Our workshops are designed to nurture resilience, expression and agency with sports and lyric writing workshops, and social enterprise.

Development Awards (16-30)
